20 Vartag

The following data was developed in a custom rifle built on the Sako S 491 action. It had a Pence 23” barrel, and a McMillan synthetic stock. A Leupold 6.5-20 scope was installed in Leupold mounts.

Remington 221 Fireball brass was used, as well as Federal 205M primers. The bullets were Berger 36 grain HP, molly coated. All groups are 5 shots at 100 yards.

The 20 Vartag and its bigger sister the 20 Vartag Turbo were developed by my very good friend Todd Kindler, who owns and runs the The Woodchuck Den.

He is the man to talk to if you need any answers on these little calibers.
