A Visit To Fregate Island

In the Seychelles

A view of a small beach below our villa.

Banyan trees

Rugged cliffs

The water looked so blue, in contrast to the sea water we have seen in the Maldives.

You can clearly see rock formation under the water.

Another view from our balcony.

Approaching Fregate by helicopter

Fregate in the middle of the photo as we approach from Mahe. Other islands further and to the left.

Islands close to Mahe, just after we have taken off in our helicopter

A view from the Fregate harbor.

This is Little Fregate. We snorkeled around it. Fish life is abundant.

You can see how the villas are built on the cliffs.

The main reception and dining are are in the middle of the photo. And the main beach is below in the coconut trees.

Our villa overlooking the sea

Another beach that can be accessed by climbing down steps cut into the rocks.

An old cannon. Remnant of a colorful past.

A view of the beach from the main dining room.

There are a few swamps, full of aldabra turtles. If you look carefully, at the bottom middle of the photo, you will see one lying in the water.

Our private pool, overlooking the ocean.

Another view from our balcony.
